Mr. Gohn became a Criminal Justice teacher with FCPS in 2004. Prior to teaching, Mr. Gohn was employed 28 years by the Fairfax County Police Department. During his tenure with the FCPD, Mr. Gohn had a distinguished career experiencing various assignments as a patrol officer, detective, first line supervisor and command level officer. Mr. Gohn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in Administration of Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University. While employed by the FCPD, Mr. Gohn received extensive training in crime scene/death investigation and related matters. Mr. Gohn is a NOVA Dual Enrollment Assistant Professor allowing qualified Edison Academy Criminal Justice students to earn college credit.
