New Bell Schedule
Edison Academy has a new bell schedule starting Tuesday, February 16, 2021. The schedule was developed in order for us to accommodate mitigation strategies required for returning students safely to school buildings for in-person learning.
Health Screening Commitment Form
As many students return to in-person instruction, parents and caregivers will be asked to acknowledge a Health Screening Commitment form before their student(s) re-enter school buildings. This document confirms that a parent, caregiver, or guardian will complete a daily health screening and will keep their students home when they are ill. The Health Commitment form can be submitted electronically through ParentVUE (PVUE) or via hard copy. Please contact your child’s school to have a hard copy sent to you.

For now, there are four x2VOL support videos to help supplement the material covered in the student x2VOL login lesson. Students are invited to check these Service Learning resources out.
In-Person At School Instruction – Form Needed
Parents/guardians who chose in-school instruction for their child will receive a health screening commitment form where you will agree to completing a daily health screening prior to sending your student to school. Forms must be received at school electronically or by hard copy before your child returns to in-school instruction. Students whose parent/guardian have not returned a signed form will be required to complete a health screening and have their temperature taken daily by school staff until the form is received.
Parent Technology Help Desk
To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.
