Interns Join Fairfax Co. Government DVS Full-time

Graduates from the Edison Academy Automotive Programs accept full-time positions with Fairfax County Department of Vehicle Services.

Three Automotive Technology graduates from 2018, G. Chapman, T. Dove, and T. Timbrook, who interned with the Fairfax County Government Department of Vehicle Services (DVS) during their senior year (2017-2018) accepted full-time positions with FFX. Co. DVS after graduation.

Edison Academy has a long history of students participating in the internship opportunities with Fairfax County Government's Department of Vehicle Services. Previously, a 2007 auto intern had also taken a full-time position with the county after his internship and graduation from Edison Academy's Automotive Technology program. 

DVS student interns work in a variety of positions that cover the scope of services required to maintain the vehicles owned by Fairfax County including the public schools fleet of school buses, the county's police cars, fire and EMS vehicles, trash dump trucks, vans, automobiles, service trucks, and more.
