Edison Academy hosted its annual Gingerbread House Workshop on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Over 25 participants, ranging from elementary students to retirees, enjoyed a morning of festive fun decorating of gingerbread houses. 

Led by Chef Walden and levels 1 & 2 current Culinary Arts students who provided participants with all the supplies they needed to create their own gingerbread masterpieces. Participants were provided a pre-made gingerbread house bases and decorations, and they were encouraged to get creative with their designs.

The workshop was a great success, and everyone had a lot of fun. The finished gingerbread houses were all unique and impressive, and it was clear that everyone had put a lot of effort into their creations. Participants were also able to learn how to use a variety of decorating techniques, such as piping frosting and using icing.

Thanks to the participants of the Gingerbread House Workshop, the academy was able to donate 162 pounds of food to the Koinonia Foundation. Thank you all for the support to our local outreach organization. 

Overall, the Edison Academy Gingerbread House Workshop was a great event that was enjoyed by all. We look forward to hosting another successful workshop next year!
