Culinary Arts "Chopped" Style Competitions
Challenging Ingredients Yield Culinary Creations
Edison Academy Culinary Arts students competed in teams of four to develop an appetizer, entree, and dessert using ingredients from a mystery basket, revealed over the three days of "Chopped" style competitions.
- The Day One appetizer challenged students to use ramen noodles, Vienna sausages, cabbage, and craisins ( dried cranberries).
- The Day Two challenge was to create entrees that included chicken breast, mayonnaise, bbq spiced corn nuts, and fruity lucky charms.
- Day three desserts were to contain chocolate covered cherries, tortilla, rice cracker, and apple.
