Fairfax County Police Department visits to present Public Safety Cadet Program
Members of the Fairfax County Police Department, South County Unit 2252, visited on September 20, 2022 to share the department's Public Safety Cadet opportunity for youth with our Criminal Justice students.
Students got an overview of the police department and the public safety cadet program including highlights of the program and how to apply. Students learned from our speakers about safety training provided to cadets, ride along opportunities, cadets supporting public service events, an the opportunity to gain leadership skills, confidence and lasting friendships through participation in the program.
Upcoming important dates for the Public Safety Cadet Program
- First Night interest meeting for South County, Unit 2252, will be held on October 3, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at West Potomac HS, 6500 Quander Road, Alexandria, VA. Also, any questions regarding joining Unit 2252, please email PFC B. Brown: [email protected]
- Submission of applications and letter of recommendation are due October 17. Students should attend in business attire and prepare to be interviewed for selection to the cadet program.
