Graduating Seniors Earn CTE Scholarships

Congratulations to our Edison Academy graduating seniors who earned local Career and Technical Education (CTE) focused scholarships for this school term 2020-21 

Foundation for Applied Technical Education (FATE) Trade and Industrial Education focused CTE Scholarships were awarded to the following students.

  • Andrew Stivason  from the Electrical Construction and Engineering Program (2 years) - Academic Scholarship up to $5000
  • Francisco Portillo from the Electrical Construction and Engineering Program (2 years) - Academic Scholarship up to $5000
  • Jonatan Marquez-Ramos from the Electrical Construction and Engineering Program (3 years) - Tool Scholarship $1000
  • Jimmy Vasquez  from the Electrical Construction and Engineering Program (2 years) - Tool Scholarship $1000

FATE ACE Academic Scholarships good for up to $1800 for a course offered through the FCPS Adult and Community Education (ACE) programs for students who plan to take ACE classes for apprenticeship and trades programs of study will be offered for recent graduates (Class of 2021) to apply this June.   

Rotary Club of Alexandria,VA  CTE Scholarship awarded to: 

  • Andrew "AJ" Muir from the Cyber: IT program (3 years) - Academic Scholarship of $2500  

Rotary Club of Springfield, VA CTE Scholarship awarded to

  • Andres Sanchez Diaz  from Global STEM (4 years) and the Electrical Construction and Engineering Program (1st year) Academic Scholarship of $1000
  • Andrew "AJ' Muir from the Cyber: IT program (3 years) Academic Scholarship of $1000
  • Jackson Medina from Global STEM (3 years) and the Cyber: IT program $1000
