Edison Academy Students, Momina A. and Tanzim M. have been selected to receive Career and Technical Education scholarships from the Rotary Club of Alexandria. Momina, a second year Veterinary Science student, is headed to Virginia Tech to study in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, with a major in Animal and Poultry Science, to lead to attending Veterinary School to become a practicing licensed Veterinarian. Tanzim, who has taken science, technology, engineering and math courses and all of the computer science courses offered at his school, as well as studying in the Cyber:IT program at Edison Academy, will pursue his dream of becoming a Software Engineer at a Virginia university. While all of our applicants were very worthy of earning a scholarship, the Alexandria Club chose these two students for two of the three scholarships they will award for this year.  Each student will receive a $2500 scholarship payable to their chosen school/university. Students will be recognized at the Rotary of Alexandria luncheon on June 7 at the Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, VA.
