Trademasters receives School Board Partnership Recognition
Virginia School Boards Association Business Honor Roll
The Fairfax County School Board nominated and recognized three Northern Virginia businesses with the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll at its regular business meeting on Thursday, June 28. The businesses–Innovation Health, Trademasters Service Corporation, and Westfield Business Owners Association–were recognized for their support of public education. Trademasters Service Corporation (Trademasters), founded by a former Edison Academy HVAC student and graduate of the Fairfax County Adult Education Apprenticeships program, has partnered with the HVAC-R program and the Career and Technical Education team at Edison High School Academy since 2000. Trademasters, which is a locally owned and operated HVAC, plumbing, electrical, contracting and Facilities Management Company, regularly provides guest speakers and HVAC demonstrators; gives significant financial support to the school’s career development programs including apprenticeships, mock interview day, and career fairs; provides HVAC supplies and materials including a compressor–valued at $8,000; and provides paid membership for the Edison Academy HVAC program to be a member of HVAC Excellence, the largest HVAC professional organization in the world for HVAC Education programs.
