Chinese Class Students Recent Activities
The Chinese classes at Edison Academy recently participated in two cultural activities.
Happy Lunar New Year! Welcome the Year of the Snake!
As the most important holiday for Chinese and many other Asian communities, Lunar New Year is a time for joy, tradition, and new beginnings. This year, the celebration ran from Wednesday, January 29, to Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Our Chinese classes created lanterns and written lucky poems using traditional Chinese calligraphy brushes. We’ve also decorated the World Languages hallway with lanterns and Spring Couplets to bring festive cheer. Everyone is welcome to stop by and explore the rich traditions of Chinese New Year!
Wishing you a joyful and prosperous Year of the Snake! Gōng xǐ fā cái! (Wishing you happiness and prosperity!)
