Retired FBI Executive Assistant Director Visits Criminal Justice
Recently retired Executive Assistant Director of the Intelligence Branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Stephen Laycock, visited with our Criminal Justice students to talk about the history of the FBI from it's founding in 1908 to the expansive footprint it has today. Mr. Laycock touched on the diverse skills the FBI is looking for from applicants, what backgrounds or college majors they hire from, the process applicants go through to be accepted to serve in the FBI, the type of work FBI agents perform for our country, and recommendations to students to help them prepare for a future serving their country and community. Students got to see some of his FBI attire, medals and awards including the FBI jacket that many are used to seeing in the movies and on television programs.
