Edison Academy Students, Momina A. and Jerry R. have been selected to receive education scholarships from the Rotary Club of Springfield, VA.

Momina, a second year Veterinary Science student, is headed to Virginia Tech to study in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, with a major in Animal and Poultry Science, to lead to attending Veterinary School to become a practicing licensed Veterinarian.

Jerry, who has studied in the Network Administration class and attained multiple industry certifications for the Cyber field, including Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Networking Fundamentals, Software Development Fundamentals, Windows Operating System Fundamentals, and Google IT Support Professional, plans to pursue a career in the the field of Cybersecurity as a security specialist possibly in a Security Operations Center (SOC).  

Each student will receive a $1000 scholarship payable to their chosen school/university. Students will be recognized at the Rotary of Springfield luncheon on June 16, 2022 and will receive their scholarship funds paid to their college in the fall of 2022.
