Along with awarding two scholarships to Edison Academy students from the Information Technology program, the Rotary Club of Springfield (RCS) booked their annual awards luncheon in the Culinary Arts Bistro to support the Edison Academy culinary students' program. The RCS hosted leadership students and their counselors and Principal from Garfield Elementary School for the luncheon which included a guided tour of the Academy. Two FCPS employees who have helped to facilitate the RCS work with Garfield and Edison Academy were recognized with Paul Harris Fellow recognitions during the scholarship luncheon. Scholarship recipients are planning to continue their studies in information technology in college after graduation from high school.
