BeautyScope, LLC Salon Development Consultant, Gretchen Kuney, Visits with Edison Academy Cosmetology, Level 2, Students

Cosmetology, level 2, students were excited to welcome Gretchen Kuney, a Salon Development Consultant for BeautyScope, LLC, as a guest on February 15, 2022. Ms. Kuney shared information with the students about the career of a Salon Development Consultant in the beauty industry; the work they do to support salons, stylists, and training for the business end of the salon; management skills, and front desk, as well as the work of providing education for brand development and promotional guidance for the products that BeautyScope supplies to professional salons in the industry.  

Students were excited to receive surprise gifts and samples of some BeautyScope products during the visit and to get insight into yet another career opportunity in the beauty industry, that of nail technician.  Ms. Kuney, who is not only a Salon Development Consultant, but also a licensed nail technician, made time to demonstrate a specialty French manicure nail service for the students and shared additional information about the career pathway for becoming a nail technician in the beauty industry, including discussions of income potential, overhead expenses and more.
