Johnson and Wales Visits Virtually in Culinary Arts

Chef Jeff Harris visits virtually from Johnson & Wales University 

The wonders of technology brought Chef Jeff Harris of Johnson and Wales University to us for a live virtual visit in our Edison Academy Culinary Arts virtual classroom on February 12 , 2021. Chef Harris joined us from the campus of Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC. along with other virtual guests, Chef Austin Vanetti and admissions representative, Stacey Thomas. Students also joined the class virtually from their homes. 

Chef Harris conducted a live cooking demonstration broadcast from the Johnson and Wales University campus in Charlotte, NC for students. He and his colleagues also presented information to students about post-secondary culinary education and the opportunities that Johnson and Wales University has to offer.

Students learned about typical class schedules at the college, student internship opportunities at world class restaurants,  the varied and unique career options for culinary school graduates, outstanding alumni of the school, scholarship and tuition information and even experienced a few of Chef Harris' trademark culinary puns.  Chef Vanetti moderated the chat to share important links with students about scholarships, career opportunities while Ms Thomas provided insight into the university admissions process and financial aid.  For more information about Johnson and Wales University visit their website
