HVAC & Refrigeration Program Earns HVAC Excellence Accreditation
HVAC & Refrigeration Program Earns HVAC Excellence Accreditation
The Edison Academy HVAC & Refrigeration program, taught by instructor, Robert Stringham, has once again earned accreditation through the independent accrediting organization of HVAC Excellence. HVAC Excellence is an independent, non-governmental, third party review, that provides a national accreditation for educational programs in the HVACR industry in order to improve technical competency overall within the HVACR industry by acknowledging programs that have the resources and administrative support necessary to prepare students for entry level positions within the HVACR industry.
This accreditation program assures prospective students that the program will meet or exceed industry standards and assures employers that graduates from the program are properly trained and ready to enter the workforce.
Additionally the Mechanical Service Contractors of America "MSCA" has named HVAC Excellence as its partner for technician recruitment. MSCA is the leading national trade association for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Plumbing and Facility Operations contractors representing companies such as Johnson Controls, Carrier Commercial, EMCOR, McKinstry, Trane Commercial, and other prominent members. As a result, graduates of HVAC Excellence Accredited programs may have advanced placement opportunities. Through an articulation agreement with the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices, graduates of an HVAC Excellence accredited program may also be eligible for advanced placement opportunities into the United Association apprenticeship program.
The Accreditation process involves a multi-step process including making an application, conducting a self-study, an onsite visitation by an accreditation team, and a final determination with a report of the accreditation team's findings.
