Six FCPS high schools include academies. A high school academy is a center within an existing high school that offers advanced technical and specialized courses that successfully integrate career and academic preparation. Cassandra Deedy serves as the counselor at Edison Academy. Part of this role is to inform students, parents, and high school counselors about academy offerings.

🎌 Virtual Victory at the Junior Japan Bowl

FCPS recently hosted the 8th National Junior Japan Bowl, a quiz-bowl-style Japanese language and culture competition. The virtual event showcased spirited participation from 517 elementary and middle school students representing 26 schools and 10 states.

FCPS To Host Instructional Job Fair on Saturday, June 8, 2024

Fairfax County Public Schools wants you to be a part of our team! We are seeking educator talent with strong student engagement skills and a passion for having a positive influence on our school communities. We are hosting a job fair on Saturday, June 8, 2024 (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) at Oakton High School. There will be networking and interviewing opportunities with representatives from various FCPS schools. Employment offers may be extended during the fair.
